I was in ATL a couple of weekends ago, so you know I had to drop by the mall (one of my fav places) to peruse the aisles of some of my favorite stores. I stopped by Forever 21 in Arborplace Mall and snagged a couple cool pieces. And immediately I had an idea on how I was going to style them in my head :)
I picked up an "A" sweatshirt. How perfect, it represents my awesomeness (lol), my first and last name initial, plus it's in my favorite color combo: black and white. The huge "A" on the front reminds me of Alvin and the Chipmunks (or the Scarlett Letter minus the scarlett hue), but it also put me in the mind set of a school girl. Back in high school (umpteenth years ago) I was the Class President. So here's my ode to the "Class President 2.0" (updated in a 2013 kind of way).
While I was in Forever 21 I also picked up some bad (as in good) faux suede over the knee boots. I figured I could pair the boots, with the sweatshirt I purchased, along with my leather skater skirt and some over the knee socks (which I snagged from DSW) to complete my school girl look. I added a statement necklace to amp up the glam factor and my black rimmed glasses to complete my sophisticated nerdy look.
SCHOOL DAZE
I ran to one of my fav local cafe's, the Bare Bulb for my shoot to elevate the ambiance for my "Class President 2.0 vibe." Here are the outfit details:
Sweatshirt: Forever 21, Skate Skirt: H&M, Knee High Socks: DSW, Over the Knee Boots: Forever 21, Statement Necklace: Charlotte Russe.

By the way today is such a good day! I'm finally on the road to accomplish one of my dreams. I am attending my orientation for Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) where I will be entering as a Junior for the Spring (2014) Semester in the Apparel and Textile Department! To all my subbies that have a dream, GO AFTER IT! You won't regret it!
Happy Hump Day
