Blush Vest + White Tee + Denim Skirt

Do you remember back in the 90s when we watched shows like Clarissa Explains It All, Full House, Family Matters, Sister Sister and denim skirts among other fashion styles were a thing. Well I had a little moment of nostalgia when I was in Forever 21 back in June in Cali and I ran across a denim skirt. It brought back memories of my childhood for sure. 

I pulled out my denim skirt yesterday and paired it with my fav blush colored vest and a plain white tee  to create a sophisticated yet relaxed look. I finished the styling by pairing it with a pair of nude pumps, a broach, and some sunnies. The great thing about ALL denim is the fact that you can dress it up or down. A denim skirt is no different. You can pair it with a tee, baseball cap, and Converse, or you can pair it with a collared shirt and blazer. The possibilities are endless.

The Real MVP

Have you ever had an item in your closet that is a staple? An item that you continuously go to whenever you don't know what to wear? Well, for me this summer that item would have to be my blush vest that I scored for under $30 at Forever 21 at the tail end of Winter (preparing for Spring). This vest has truly gotten its full use. The reason this vest is my go - to piece this summer is because of its versatility. The color is refreshing, it's lightweight (so I won't sweat to death down in the GA heat. It also allows me to dress up items that are not super dressy like I did in my last post with my gray jumpsuit (check it out here) or amp up an already polished look like I did in my Blush, Black, & Mint post (check it out here). I know you may be tired of me sharing this vest. But I want to be as candid with you my readers as possible. I'm not one of those fashion bloggers that just wears an item once and tosses it to the back of my closet. I get wear out of what I truly like. And this vest is no different.

Blush, Black, & Mint

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you, without a dope post to scroll through! Hey Fashion Sensers. Oh how I've missed you :) I've been super caught up with school (I just finished up my last week of school), planned and threw a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband, got inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) where I will serve as the Vice President next year along with keeping up with being a wife. So yeah, it's been a little hectic around here in the Anderson household the past couple of weeks. However, I have a new blog post for you today, with an item from my closet that you've seen a couple times before…my blush pink vest. To go along with the mood of Spring I paired it with my mint green skirt and finished the look off with my black cropped leather top and caged booties.
